What does a fractional AI leader do?
A fractional AI leader is a senior executive who owns your AI agenda part-time, typically one to two days a week. I join your leadership rhythm, own the agreed AI priorities, guide investment and vendor decisions, and keep delivery moving with your team, without the cost of a full-time executive hire.
What is the difference between fractional and interim AI leadership?
Fractional leadership is ongoing and part-time: a senior owner every week while your team is in place. Interim leadership is a dedicated mandate, typically three to six months, when an executive gap or a critical change needs full ownership. I align the organisation, lead execution and prepare the handover to your permanent team.
How is an AI leader different from an AI consultant?
A consultant typically advises and hands over a report. An AI leader takes accountability for the outcome: agreed decision rights, priorities and success measures, and the work of taking useful AI into production with your team. The remit, time commitment and measures are agreed before we start.
How much does it cost?
Fractional engagements in Finland start from €6,000 per month plus VAT. The AI Impact Sprint is €25K flat for four weeks, plus VAT. Interim mandates, and engagements outside Finland, are priced per engagement. The sprint is often the cleanest way to scope a longer mandate.
Do you work outside Finland?
Yes. I am based in Levi, Finnish Lapland, and work remote-first with companies globally. On-site collaboration is agreed around the mandate.
